2014 Winner New Venture Contest Europe: ParcelHome

Hosted by the HBS French Alumni Club in Paris

Greg Mackin MBA 2007 and John Brown MBA 1977 with

ParcelHome - UK

There was not one empty chair in the hose at the European + Israel NVC regional finals in Paris where a panel of judges composed of experienced VCs coming from Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Spain, Switzerland and the UK and investing in all the high growth areas of Internet, IT, Cleantech, MedTech and Life Sciences voted Greg Mackin MBA 2007 and John Brown MBA 1977 with their company ParcelHome – a UK based company - the Winner from the 15 entries including 5 from the UK.

Parcelhome addresses the issue of failed home deliveries and offers returns of goods from home by installing connected parcel lockers at online shoppers individual homes. It targets the 10 million heavy online buying households in Northern Europe that are located in suburbs and rural areas and cannot be efficiently served by collect shops and grouped parcel lockers.

By offering a simple and safe receptacle for deliveries thanks to its proprietary technology, it reduces home delivery costs while improving customer service.

The company was founded in 2013 by Greg Mackin (HBS '07), and its 14-strong team consists of experts in the fields of logistics - including John Brown (HBS '77)  - IT & electronics and outdoor furniture.
After very positive feedback from e-tailers, postal networks and carriers, it plans to raise further capital in May.
Feel free to contact Greg at

ParcelHome will now represent Europe at the HBS Alumni New Venture Contest Finals to be held on Campus on April 29-30, 2014 for the prize of $25,000.
